VCT Floor Care for Warehouses and Industrial Facilities

Warehouse VCT floors get punished. Pallet jacks, forklifts, steel-toed boots, and equipment wheels eat finish faster than any other commercial environment. The math is clear: a strip-and-wax program costs a fraction of tile replacement, and burnishing programs keep the floor looking maintained year-round.

What we deliver

Questions

Is VCT worth maintaining in a warehouse, or should we replace the floor?

In most cases, strip and wax is significantly cheaper than tile replacement. VCT that is structurally sound but dull and stained can often be restored to near-new appearance. We assess this during the free walkthrough.

How do you handle large warehouse floor areas in Portland?

We section large floors so operations continue in one part of the building while we work in another. Scheduling is built around your shift windows so there is no production impact.

What is buffing and burnishing, and does my warehouse need it?

Buffing uses a low-speed buffer to restore a moderate shine. Burnishing uses a high-speed machine to bring finish to a mirror-like gloss and harden the surface. For high-traffic warehouse aisles, monthly burnishing extends the life of a strip-and-wax significantly.

How often does a warehouse VCT floor need a full strip and wax?

Warehouses with active forklift traffic typically need a strip and wax every 12–18 months. With a regular burnishing program, some facilities extend this to 2 years. Entry and dock zones may need more frequent attention.

Do you serve distribution centers and industrial parks in Greater Portland?

Yes. We serve warehouse and distribution facilities throughout Washington and Clackamas County, including Hillsboro, Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin, and Portland's industrial districts.
